Karel Zuidgeest Bloemen originated from Nic. Den Heijer B.V., which was founded in 1926. Nic den Heijer was a person who was known for his strong entrepreneurial spirit. He started exporting to Belgium in 1926, but countries like Germany, Switzerland, Luxembourg and England soon followed. Nic retired in 1965, but in the years that followed the company grew to become an important link in the international flower trade.

In 1999 the company’s name was changed to Karel Zuidgeest Bloemen B.V.

Karel Zuidgeest Bloemen is a client-friendly and dynamic export organisation, to this very day, and also attaches considerable value to high-quality of products and excellent service. The company is located at Flora Holland flower auction in Naaldwijk. From this location fresh cut flowers are purchased each day, by way of the distance buying principle, from the three largest flower auctions in the Netherlands.

Our good relationship with a large number of growers and importers means that our products are delivered to us fresh daily, allowing the products to be transported on the same day. All flowers and / or plants are processed entirely according to the client’s needs, and then packaged for transport under ideal conditions. Our main export countries are Germany, England and Portugal.

We also provide several services for distance buyers, traders or exporters, including quality inspections and preparation of products and orders for dispatch. We also provide all-inclusive logistics services within Flora Holland Naaldwijk, for many growers. When the products are delivered to us, we take every care to ensure that everything is delivered to the clients properly and on time.
